Children and youths are susceptible to the same emotional hurdles as adults. They are constantly trying to make sense of their experiences and often need emotional distance from their issues, worries and concerns.
During your child’s private telehealth sessions, my foremost goal is to help your child feel safe and comfortable. I incorporate play and art therapy, a form of psychotherapy to help facilitate your child’s self-expression, healing, and integration of their emotional experiences.
Through the safety of the therapeutic relationship, your child will explore his/her feelings, develop coping skills, learn adaptive behaviours and bring about corrective emotional experiences.
